Jeremy Burfoot
Jeremy Burfoot has been involved in aviation for 42 years. He joined the RNZAF in 1978 as a navigator, then flew as a bush pilot in Papua New Guinea for 3 years. He joined Qantas as a pilot in 1984 and was promoted to 747 Captain at age 31 in 1990. He flew nearly all of the versions of the 747 as captain and did a 3-year stint flying 747 freighters for Japan Airlines. During his Qantas time he was also a flight simulator instructor for 2 years. He finished his Qantas career in 2020 as an A380 captain.
Jeremy is the author of 4 books, 2 on aviation. He is currently a contributor for New Zealand Aviation News.
Jeremy has a Diploma in Financial markets with the Securities Institute of Australia.
He is currently involved with several Boards.
He is also media trained for television and radio.
